Kampung Daun Cafe - Bandung, Indonesia

Kampung Daun is a cafe located in the outskirt of Bandung, on the way to the Lembang highland. The place itself is great, designed very naturally with a lot of plants and even waterfall. Here, you don't reserve a table, instead you can choose a "saung", a traditional hut, where you can sit with your group in private. The food is also OK, you have many choices of indonesian or sundanese food and even steak.

Berlin dan Istana Musim Panas Sanssouci di Potsdam

Liburan kali ini kita bertiga kita pergi jalan2 ke Berlin ala backpacker. Dari Hamburg, cari praktis dan murah untuk ke Berlin ialah dengan menggunakan Berlin Linien Bus. Untuk penginapan, kita tinggal di backpacker Hotel Berolina Charlottenburg, yang letaknya persis di depan stasiun kereta Charlottenburg.

Program pertama adalah mengunjungi Istana Musim Panas Sanssouci di Potsdam. Pergi kesana dengan menggunakan kereta cuma membutuhkan kurang dari 1 jam. Terkenal di Sanssouci adalah istana dan taman yang menanjak di depannya.

Setelah dari Potsdam, kita kembali lagi ke Berlin. Sempat mampir ke Olympiastadion, tapi sayang sekali tidak bisa masuk. Kita pergi ke "Biergarten" Schleusenkrug, tempat makan di taman di Tiergarten. Setelah itu kita jalan2 keliling kota Berlin. Mulai dari pergi ke "East Side Gallery" di stasiun Ostbahnhof untuk melihat sisa2 Tembok Berlin, terus ke Checkpoint Charlie dan masuk ke museum sejarah orang2 yang kabur dari Jerman Timur. Terus lanjut ke Brandenburger Tor, Reichstaggebäude dan sempat juga ke Sony Center di Potsdamer Platz.

Wandern in Achensee - Tirol, Österreich

We decided to go to Achensee for the summer trip from the HIT department. Achensee is a lake in Tyrol, Austria, which is reachable within 2 hours with car from Munich.

We hiked to the other side of the lake to the Geisalm hut, have a picnic there and go back with the boat. The hiking path (Gaisalmsteig) along the hill goes quite high. There is even sign that it's not suitable for people with fear of heights.

It only took about 6 hours to go from Munich to Prague by train. It was a short planned trip, however everything went well. Prague has many historical buildings, therefore you can do many sightseeings there. We were there only for 2 days and could see most of the main tourism attractions. However if you want to enter the museums you might need more than just 2 days. The prices for food and hotel are almost the same like in Germany. No need to worry to get the "Koruna", because there are so many money changers everywhere.

As long as you don't stay too far from the downtown, Prague has good transportation system. With the subway or tram you can easily reach the downtown area.

Von München nach Prag mit dem Zug

The best way to go from Munich to Prag with the train is to take the ALEX train. You don't need to change the train, just aware that from the border (Furth am Wald), the train code will change.

Das beste Möglichkeit aus München nach Prag zu fahren ist den ALEX Zug zu nehmen. Der Zug fährt direkt, aber ab Grenze (Furth am Wald) hat der Zug andere Zugnummer.

Ticket prices / Fahrkarten Preise:

• "Prag Special" Ticket from Deutsche Bahn:
  Cost: 62 Euro (Return ticket for 1 Person)
• Bayern Ticket + Czech's Group Ticket *:
  Bayern Ticket: 27 Euro (valid up to 5 Persons until Furth am Wald)
  Czech's Group Ticket: 271 Koruna (about 12 EURO)
  That was the price for 4 Persons from Furth am Wald until Prague.

* You can buy the Czech's ticket in the train. Unlike in germany, they don't fine you for buying as long as you have the Bayern Ticket.
I paid with Koruna, but I saw the inspector having EURO.

* Ich konnte das Tschechische Bahn Fahrkarte im Zug bei dem Schaffner kaufen, ohne Zuzahlung oder sogar Bußgeld zu zahlen. Vorausgesetzt was das Bayern Tiket.
Ich habe mit Krone bezahlt, aber der Schaffner hat EURO auf dem Hand gehabt.
