Hofbräu Festzelt, Sunday, 1. October 2006
with Oliver, Bianca and Silke
|
Oliver, my university mate @ FH Wiesbaden is coming to Munich specially for the Oktoberfest. On Sunday, I joined him and his 2 school friends, Bianca and Silke to Oktoberfest, for the third time.
It was around 12 and we already couldn't enter the Schottenhammel Zelt. We moved to Hacker Pschorr Zelt, but there we waited to find table for more than 30 minutes, without any success. The tent beside the Hacker Pschorr tent is the Hofbräu Festzelt. It is the biggest tent in the Oktoberfest and there... we finally got a table. |
Walking around the Olympia stadium in Munich
After going to Nymphenburg castle and having lunch, we directly went to the Olympia stadium. To go to the Olympia stadium, you have to take the U-Bahn line 3 until the last station, Olympiazentrum.
The area around the Olympia stadium (Olympiastadion) is quite large. It is a nice place to go jogging or to have a walk and it's also suitable for tourist, as long as the weather is fine.
There are several things you can see there, such as the Olympia Tower, BMW Museum, the Olympia lake and of course the stadium.
Fischer Vroni Tent, 19. September 2006
|
Today is my second visit to Oktoberfest. I joined some colleagues from my department and we got table in the Fischer Vroni Tent. Well even during the week, if you come late to Oktoberfest, it's not easy to get a whole table, doesn't matter in which tent.
1 new thing for me that I saw in Oktoberfest for the first time, is the Steckerl Fish (smoked fish on the stick). In front of the tent, there are many of those fishes, which are smoked freshly before they are served. I might try these someday, although the price is other than cheap :-). |
